Dan Moren writing at Six Colors:
As we start the slow, tedious move away from the password, it behooves Apple—and other technology companies—to be looking for clever solutions that can help replace our dependence on that antiquated system while still keeping our data and devices secure and convenient.
Couldn't agree more with Dan here. There's always going to be an ideal point of security and an ideal point of convenience, the trick is to strike a balance between the two.
New technologies can help push that convenience point closer to the security point. With Touch ID having already done that and given us a taste of what is possible, it can only be a matter of time before we start asking for more convenient features that don't sacrifice security.
